Our practice blends the latest technologies and techniques with a deep respect for the connection between oral and overall wellness.

Meet your dentist

Dr. Javier De La Cruz

Dr. Javier De La Cruz, DMD, brings over a decade of clinical expertise to JADE Dental of Bonita. He is passionate about helping patients achieve harmony between oral health and overall wellness. Originally from Cali, Colombia, Dr. De La Cruz moved to the United States in 2000 after completing high school. It was during his time doing community service —providing dental support to rural populations in Colombia—that he discovered his calling in dentistry.

Dr. De La Cruz earned his bachelor’s degree in biology from the University of Central Florida in 2007. He went on to complete a post-baccalaureate immunology research program at the Mayo Clinic in 2009 before earning his dental degree from Western University of Health Sciences in California in 2014. He later pursued advanced training through a one-year Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) program with Lutheran Medical Center/NYU Langone in Florida in 2015. He is also an alumnus of the Dawson Academy, where he completed their 1-year residency program which focuses on complex treatment planning and TMJ/TMD therapy.

For the past ten years, Dr. De La Cruz has served the underserved in public health within Southwest Florida. It was during these ten years that Dr. De La Cruz saw the importance of patient education and how preventive measures can improve the overall health of the community. While meaningful, this experience inspired him to expand the scope of his care by opening JADE Dental of Bonita—a space where he can continue growing personally and professionally and bring forward a vision of integrative dentistry to the community.

With a special interest in integrative dentistry, TMD therapy, and full-mouth rehabilitations, Dr. De La Cruz is dedicated to understanding the patient beyond the surface. His approach is rooted in the belief that dentistry should not only restore smiles but improve lives through a broader understanding of health—including sleep, breathing, inflammation, and nutrition.

He is a proud member of the American Dental Association, Florida Dental Association, and West Coast District Dental Association. Outside the office, Dr. De La Cruz enjoys spending time at the beach or parks with his wife and daughters, cooking for his family, and playing pickleball with friends on weekends.

As our technology grows, we’ll soon offer advanced diagnostics and in-house solutions, including CBCT imaging and 3D printing capabilities for precision care.

Giving Back

At JADE Dental of Bonita, we believe healthier smiles begin with healthier communities. Dr. De La Cruz is actively building partnerships that support a whole-body approach to care, including mental health initiatives that strengthen overall well-being. As part of this mission, we are proud to donate a portion of our revenue to Andrew's Anthem, a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering and equipping youth and young adults with the life skills they need to navigate challenges and thrive. As our practice grows, we look forward to deepening our impact in Bonita Springs and beyond through meaningful community connections.
